New All-Weather Antenna

A major Engineering project scheduled for this Summer is the installation of a new, custom built, all-weather antenna. Currently, specifications, pricing, etc. are being developed. The desired result is to achieve broadcast coverage that is equal to, or better than, our present coverage regardless of weather conditions. At present, icing conditions can severely degrade our broadcast coverage. The cost of the new antenna will be covered, largely, by the generous donations of listeners during the recent fund drive.

Is the antenna supposed to keep good reception during rainstorms also? I had reception problems during last Thursday night's storm.

We are still getting drifting reception. Are you able to increase your signal soon?

Some may be getting a better signal, but mine is heard with astatic background. When it rains, the signal weakens. The reception is also affected by electrical interference. can this problem be corrected?

I live in Cuyahoga Falls near the Blossom Center & can barely get a signal & what I get is very noisy. Most mornings I can get a very weak signal, noisy but listenable, but after noon it is all but gone. I have an external antenna & got a very good signal, actually better than WSTB's until the antenna change.

Since Monday's ice storm, reception of WKHR in our area has gooten poor and noisy. Is there anything your engineers can do to improve our reception over the air?
